FORMATS

All forms of magnesium supply this mineral's benefits equally. So, which one should you choose?

Some forms of magnesium have a different digestibility. We've explained the differences between each one:

MAGNESIUM
CHLORIDE

This form of magnesium has good absorption. Given its high laxative effect, it is recommended for people experiencing constipation. Its crystal format can be used for magnesium baths, since chloride is the only component absorbed transdermally. It is not suitable for people with stomach or intestinal disorders.

Recommended dose:

Tablets: take 4 tablets per day, distributed across the three main meals.

Crystal: take 1 teaspoon per day, preferably shared between breakfast and dinner.

Magnesium oil: 2-3 sprays on the affected area.

MAGNESIUM
CARBONATE

Carbonate is flavourless and scentless. It can be mixed with all kinds of drinks. It has a mild laxative effect as it increases water in the faeces and aids evacuation. It has an anti-acid effect, for which reason it is recommended for people with delicate stomachs. 

Recommended dose:

Powder: take 2 level teaspoons per day, at breakfast and dinner.

Tablets: take 2-3 tablets per day, distributed across the main meals.
