Ana María Lajusticia (Bilbao, 1924 – Barcelona, 2024) was a Spanish chemist, graduate in Chemical Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a pioneer of nutrition outreach in Spain. Her story with magnesium began out of personal necessity: she suffered from osteoarthritis, diabetes, and back problems that forced her to wear a corset for years. Searching for a solution, she found magnesium.
